Although claiming the rights to manage or enfranchise your property will prevent future problems with your current freeholder they are not always the right solution to your problems. The property might not qualify for the rights or there might be insufficient leaseholders prepared to participate. You might not live in a flat. The law provides other remedies, such as the right for an individual leaseholder to purchase a lease extension or the right to purchase a freehold house. We do not manage these types of projects, as they require a high proportion of solicitors’ or surveyors’ time. However, we can put you in touch with other professionals who might be able to help you and in some cases we can put you in touch with solicitors for whom we can perform some preparatory work, helping to keep your costs down.
